Mercury has won a slew of awards over its many years of service. But one accolade last year came as

a surprise to many, since domestic cars rarely make the grade.

Ford Focus Electric Launching Next Year

Next year, Ford is getting set to launch the all new Focus sedan, along with an electric version of the popular vehicle. More exciting than just an electric car for Ford Motor Co, the Focus will run a liquid thermal battery system.

Ford Focus Electric is scheduled to be launched next year in the US and 2012 in Europe. The litium-ion battery pack will run on new thermal management technology for the first time, which will aid battery longevity, and provide a longer between-charge range.
