Super Fuel Economy Ford Fiesta SFE

Ford put together one of the most hardcore viral marketing campaigns ever by the automaker for the 2012 Ford Fiesta and it paid off. After its release, the 40 MPG hatchback and sedan both received top sales numbers in its class. A 2012 version is coming up, with a little extra bonus. Those who love speed and economy will dig this 2012 Ford Fiesta Super Fuel Economy, or SFE.

Available for order via our Ford dealer in Siloam Springs, the Fiesta SFE comes stacked with an impressive 1.6-liter 4 cylinder engine, producing 120 hp and 112 pound-feet of torque.

The Super Fuel Economy package is only available with Ford's dual-clutch six-speed automated manual transmission. Basically it is a six-speed manual with automated clutch, meaning it can be driven just like an automatic with no clutch pedal. That, on top of the cost of the SFE, runs you $1,070.

The SFE package it goes for $695, and can only fit the Fiesta four-door sedan SE mid-level trim.

"So if you want a Fiesta that delivers 40 mpg on the highway (as opposed to the 39-mpg rating for the standard automatic-transmission Fiesta), you must get the four-door SE sedan with an automatic transmission to purchase the SFE package," as Edmunds Inside Line states. They are right, for now, but if this takes off we get the feeling Ford will add it on to more trim levels of future Fiesta models.1
