For had plans to develope a new type of wagon in the mid-2000's. The Ford Taurus and Taurus Wagons showed a lot of success back in the 1990's - the American Auto Maker decided to use "Taurus X" to name this concept.
The car's size was comparable to today's crossover vehicles, but was built before auto companies began working with "crossovers." The vehicle used the Ford D3 platform, which it shared with the Ford Five Hundred, Mercury Montego, and various Volvos.
